So here is a preliminary proposal: An MVPA national convoy from Washington, D.C. to San Francisco along the original route of the 1919 MTC convoy during the summer of 2009. Instead of taking nearly two months as the original did, I would think three weeks would allow us to convoy the entire route with stops along the way. I would anticipate 30 to 60 historic military vehicles of all eras would make the entire trip. I would also anticipate great interest from the European and International Associations to have representatives ship vehicles over to join in the event.

1. participants can drive any era HMV on the route as long as it has been restored to its original military
configuration and color, from a Model T to a Humvee and anything in between.
2. The vehicle must be in excellent mechanical condition.
3. The owner/operator must have personal vehicle liability coverage.
4. Other than official convoy lead/chase/supply vehicles, no non-military vehicles will be allowed.
