Rear Brakes/Handbrake ?

Hopefully somebody can help me here.

so the handbrake has Brake Pads as well, Why ?, why not a cable like all other cars ?
How can i tell when there worn ? Try braking on a hill i suppose.

The Rear Brakes are Squeeling, is it a sign of worn brakes or a natural occurance by LR ?

yes it has brakepads, otherwise it wouldn't break. but is has a cable to actuate it aswell.
actually, the difference between a LR and other cars is that the LR has an extra handbrake
mounted directly after the gearbox on the rear driveshaft, while other cars just use the rear breaks
for the handbrake.

Hat den riesen Vorteil, daß die Handbremswirkung auf dem Prüfstand immer zu 100% geich ist
Wenn die Bremse hinten quitscht, würde ich mal die Trommeln abnehmen und nachsehen. Vielleicht sind die Beläge runter und die Nieten schleifen in der Trommel...

Und es heisst "brake" and not "break" brake /bremsen. Und break/ pause oder kaputt machen.I

nicht ganz. der lr hat halt eine extra handbremse. normale autos benutzen die hinterbremse

da tut man ihm den gefallen und erklaert's ihm in seiner muttersprache.......
weiss ich. war aber noch ein bissl frueh und ausserdem ist montag.

und ich seh grad: die hinterbremse sollte NICHT quietschen
